Twitter: How to for Businesses – II

The way to really utilize Twitter is to gather as many followers as possible. After all, the whole point and purpose is to spread the word about your products and services, isn’t it? So how should you and your business go about doing that? The fact of the matter is that there are several ways to get more followers on Twitter. Few businesses are aware of how to do it, though. Keep reading and you’ll get to know how to gain as many followers as possible.

First, what are followers? Followers consist of anyone who has a Twitter account and agrees to follow your updates or ‘Tweets’ on your feed. These are the people who will see what you have to say. Basically, when it comes to followers: the more, the merrier. The difficult thing for many businesses on Twitter is to get followers. These notes listed below will add more volume to your list of followers than whip cream chargers add to whipped cream.

So how do businesses get as many followers as possible in order to fully utilize the benefits of Twitter? The first way to do it is to follow lots of other news feeds. It cannot hurt; in fact, it can only help you to follow as many Twitter feeds as possible. Typically, thanks to Twitter etiquette, when someone opts to follow someone else, they are obligated out of sheer good manners to follow their follower in return. This is an easy and effective way to expand your network of followers on Twitter.

Something else that can help you to gain more followers is to use Twitter icons for blog posts and websites.  WordPress, for example, has several widgets with images available across the net to ‘retweet’ something. By putting these into the code of your WordPress blog site, you can actually get people to retweet your posts for you. This brings more awareness to your products and information as well as more followers to your newsfeed.  The key is to post interesting, useful, quality content and Twitter will help to spread that content like wildfire.
